The Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site is a reconstruction of the brownstone townhouse where the 26th President of the United States was born in 1858, filled with period furnishings and personal memorabilia that bring Roosevelt's remarkable life into focus. Five Victorian-era rooms have been restored to their appearance during Roosevelt's boyhood in the 1860s.

The site presents five period rooms restored to their 1860s appearance, along with two museum galleries featuring Roosevelt's personal effects, campaign memorabilia, big game trophies, and artifacts from his extraordinary career as soldier, conservationist, author, and President. Original Roosevelt family possessions are displayed throughout.
