Studio Museum in Harlem
The Studio Museum in Harlem is the nexus for artists of African descent locally, nationally, and internationally, and for the study and presentation of Afrodiasporic art. Founded in 1968, it is completing a landmark new building designed by architect David Adjaye.

Over 2,000 works by artists of African descent, ranging from the Harlem Renaissance to contemporary practices, with particular strength in works by artists who have participated in the museum's Artists in Residence program.
