Noble Maritime Collection
The Noble Maritime Collection presents the extraordinary life and work of John A. Noble, a self-taught artist who lived on a houseboat in the Kill Van Kull and spent decades documenting New York Harbor's working waterfront — the tugboats, schooners, ferries, and harbor workers who defined the port city in the 20th century.
Permanent Collection
Over 7,000 works by John A. Noble including lithographs, oil paintings, sketchbooks, and photographs documenting New York Harbor's working waterfront from the 1920s through the 1980s.
