Housed in a striking building overlooking Central Park, MAD explores the intersection of art, craft, and design across materials and disciplines.

Permanent Collection

MAD's collection of approximately 3,000 works focuses on contemporary and modern objects in craft materials — glass, clay, fiber, metal, and wood — as well as jewelry, design, and mixed media. The collection emphasizes the process of making and the role of the hand in art and design.
