MoMA PS1, an affiliate of the Museum of Modern Art, is one of the oldest and largest nonprofit contemporary art institutions in the United States, presenting experimental and cutting-edge works across all media. Located in a converted schoolhouse in Long Island City, Queens, PS1 serves as a laboratory for the most ambitious artists working today.

Permanent Collection
MoMA PS1 focuses exclusively on temporary and commissioned installations, performances, and exhibitions rather than a permanent collection. The building itself features site-specific works embedded throughout its historic schoolhouse structure, including permanent installations by James Turrell.
