The Maritime Industry Museum at Fort Schuyler, located on the grounds of SUNY Maritime College within a 19th-century star fort at the confluence of the East River and Long Island Sound, documents the history of the American merchant marine and the maritime industry through ship models, navigational instruments, and artifacts spanning centuries of seafaring.
