Garibaldi-Meucci Museum
The Garibaldi-Meucci Museum preserves the home where Italian nationalist hero Giuseppe Garibaldi and inventor Antonio Meucci lived together in the early 1850s during their American exile. Meucci's inventions — including an early telephone device — and Garibaldi's political life are documented through artifacts and period furnishings in this 1840 Gothic Revival cottage.
Permanent Collection
Personal artifacts, documents, and period furnishings associated with Giuseppe Garibaldi and Antonio Meucci, illustrating Italian American history and the remarkable intertwined lives of a revolutionary general and a pioneering inventor.
