Brooklyn Museum is one of the largest art museums in the United States, with an encyclopedic collection of approximately 150,000 objects representing cultures worldwide, from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary art. The museum is particularly acclaimed for its Egyptian collection, its feminist art collection, and its community engagement programs.

Permanent Collection
Brooklyn Museum's diverse collection spans 5,000 years and encompasses virtually every world culture, with particular strengths in ancient Egyptian art, African art, and American paintings. The museum is also home to the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, featuring Judy Chicago's landmark installation The Dinner Party.
