What this is

New York City has more museums than most cities in the world. The famous ones — the Met, MoMA, the Guggenheim — have marketing budgets and name recognition. They don't need help.

The ones that do: the museum in a landmarked house in the East Village that you've passed a hundred times. The collection in Queens that gets two paragraphs in the guidebook. The institution doing serious work in a borough most visitors never reach.

Wall Text covers all of them — exhibitions, hours, admission — in one place, without ranking them. The goal is simple: make it easy to know what's on, and to find something you didn't know was there.

How data is collected

Data is collected from official museum websites through a combination of automated scraping and manual curation. Exhibition listings, hours, and admission prices are pulled directly from each museum and reviewed before publication.

The scraper runs daily. Despite best efforts, information can fall behind — exhibitions end early, hours change, prices update. Always confirm directly with the museum before visiting.

What it isn't

Not a review site. Not a ticketing platform. Not affiliated with any museum. No ratings, no rankings, no editorial opinion about the work. The exhibitions speak for themselves.
